About

mainlining.org is a community for everything about Mainlining and provides resources and services for people from the Mainlining community.

It was founded in 2023 by members of the Qualcomm SM7150 Mainline community who were dissatisfied with the lack of documentation and resources for Mainlining devices and aims to cover the entire process from "I have a device" to "It boots Linux and all components are working well".

This includes explaining how bootloaders work, which bootloaders exist, what an initramfs is, how to get logs and much more, on any platform and any device, not just limited to ARM and mobile devices.

Services

We provide a bunch of services for the community. They are all 100% free, have almost no usage limits and run on powerful hardware. The list is:

• The Mainlining Wiki at wiki.mainlining.org, registration by request
• A Forgejo instance at git.mainlining.org, registration public
• • An OpenGist instance at paste.mainlining.org, login with Forgejo SSO
• A mailserver at mail.mainlining.org, registration closed
• • The public mailing list [email protected] that all users are subscribed to and our kernel patches are CC'd to

• A Matrix server on the mainlining.org homeserver, registration by request to the mailing list above
